hi, I'm Bekah

Bekah Pollard is an Indianapolis based visual artist, writer, and editor. Bekah graduated from Butler University in 2016 with high honors in Art + Design with minors in creative writing and gender, women, and sexuality studies. Bekah works as a freelancer and is a teaching artist at the Indianapolis Art Center, teaching youth and teen classes. She also is the Visual Arts Instructor at World Changers School of the Arts. She was a 2016 Arts Journalism Fellow with the IndyStar and Arts Council of Indianapolis, and has also been a contributing editor for theLala.com.

Bekah’s primarily two dimensional abstract artwork explores pattern, texture, and color, while her conceptual work explores ideas of femininity, liberation, and social constructs. Her writing often explores these concepts as well.

Bekah is originally from Peoria, Illinois, enjoys solo-shopping trips at Target, has a hilarious Twitter feed (@BekahPollard), and loves coffee.
